In 1973, VIF Plastics began manufacturing molds in a location of 1.800 square feet. Gradually, managers saw the necessity of proceeding to their own mold tests and of offering the service of molding by injection. In 1980, VIF Plastics moved into new premises and purchased 4 injection presses.3 years later, a large expansion in the molding sector forced the injection department to move into larger premises. 4 new injection presses were added to existing ones. In 1986, the mold manufacturing workshop and the department of molding by injection were reunited in the office located in Saint-Hyacinthe.
The company, always devoted to meet and go beyond expectations and requirements of its clients, registered in 1999 to the ISO 9001:1994 standard. 3 years later, VIF Plastics owned 15 injection presses, including 3 robotic systems and modern equipments for mold design and manufacturing.A new facility of 80.000 square feet was built in 2005. The next year, Thierry Carrière acquired the company. In 2008, the pool product sector was added to the expertise with the creation of Carvin, the affiliated company
